Moscow Pre-Finals Workshop 2020

ATTENTION! The Moscow Pre-Finals Workshop 2020 will be held remotely.

Due to the epidemiological situation in our region, as well as following the instructions of the Moscow government and the internal orders of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, we are forced to transfer the Workshop to the online format, completely refusing to hold it on-site.


Dates of the Workshop remain the same: April 18-26. The program includes the RuCode Festival, which will take place on April 25 and 26. Online participation contains full educational program:

  • access to the contests within three months after the beginning of the Workshop
  • access to the video lectures and materials of the contest analysis
  • access to the video lectures and materials of the lectures (for div.B)
  • electronic certificate of participation for the team.

The price of remote participation is 51,000 rubles per team for participants from the EAEU countries.
For participants from other countries, the cost will be $690 per team.

Additionally, you can get two Skype consultations (1,5 hour each). The time of the consultations should be agreed with the coach beforehand. The price is $390.

We launch short term educational program for division C (beginners) as a part of the Moscow Pre-Finals Workshop.
Dates: April, 22-24.
The educational program includes daily:

  • video translation of the lecture on the topic of the contest;
  • 3-hour thematic contest;
  • contest analysis.

The price of remote participation is $180 per team.
This program is intended for non-Russian teams. The official language is English.
We are waiting for Russian teams at Rucode camp in Russian language.
Also division C has a great opportunity to take part in annual RuCode Festival (ex MosCode), which is taking place April, 25-26.

April 18 – 26, 2020 Moscow Workshops will hold the boot camp for competitive programming - Moscow Pre-Finals Workshop. We are waiting for students from all over the world on the campus of Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology in Dolgoprudny!

The main purpose of the training camp is to prepare student teams for successful performance at competitive programming championships.
The best of the best students come to us, for example, in 2019 11 out of 12 ICPC medalists took part in Moscow Workshops.


The official language of the educational program is English.

The training program includes solution of contests, analysis of tasks with coaches and lectures from leading Russian universities professors, former participants and winners of ICPC. An entertainment and excursion program will be organized for the participants in their spare time.

Training will be conducted in two divisions.

  • Division A is designed to prepare students to participate and win medals in the ICPC World Finals.
  • Division B  is designed to help teams prepare for regional and international competitions.

Head of the programming committee is Mikhail Tikhomirov, the coach of gold medalists ICPC 2016 and 2018, silver medalists 2017 and bronze 2019. The main moderator of the contests is Oleg Khristenko, the Chief Judge of Moscow Workshops and Editor-in-Chief of  Snarknews

Cost of participation

The earlier payment is made, the lower the cost of participation is. Citizens of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) countries can pay for participation in rubles, residents of other countries - in American dollars. This cost includes the academic curriculum, meals and accommodation on the MIPT campus, as well as the leisure program.

The contract is in the format of public offer which is common for all participants.

Workshop schedule

The first day of the boot camp is April 18. Check-in is possible both on April 17 (during the whole day) or on April 18 (until 12:00).

The last training day of the boot camp is April 24. MosCode festival will traditionally be held on April 25 and 26. 
Departure is possible on April 26 (after 20:00) or on April 27 (during the whole day).
